Raritan Twp Police Dept Press Release: May 7, 2019

THE FACT THAT A PERSON HAS BEEN ARRESTED AND CHARGED DOES NOT IMPLY THAT HE OR SHE IS GUILTY. ALL PERSONS ARE PRESUMED INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW.

On Friday April 12, 2019 at 1:12 am Marshall A. Alston (age 48) of Flemington, NJ was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and Resisting Arrest. Officer Brian Mayer originally encountered Alston while running stationary radar on Dayton Road. Alston pulled up to Officer Mayer's police car and told Officer Mayer he was concerned the officer was going to pull him over for having a suspended driver's license. After further investigation Officer Mayer arrested Alston for DWI. During the process of the arrest Alston attempted to re-enter his vehicle. Officer Mayer with assistance from Officer Connor Gallagher secured Alston and transported him to police headquarters.

On Saturday April 13, 2019 at 1:00 am, Javier F. Blandon (Age 21), Deandre Etheridge (Age 18) and Jeffrey Valdez (Age 21) all from the Bronx, NY were arrested for Possession of Less than 50 Grams of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The vehicle they were travelling in was originally stopped for Failure to Keep Right and attempting to make an illegal U-turn. Sgt. Robert Landolina made the arrest.

On Sunday April 14, 2019 at 6:18 pm James E. Foulk (Age 40) of Levittown, PA was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Another motorist contacted police dispatch to report that the vehicle being driven by Foulk was not maintaining its lane of travel. Officer Schenck located the vehicle on Route 202/31. The driver (Foulk) was using a hand-held cellular device and failed to move to the left lane for a stopped emergency vehicle. After further investigation Officer Schenck arrested Foulk for DWI.

On Sunday April 14, 2019 at 12:54 pm Xavier A. Suarez (Age 24) of Richmond Hill, NY was arrested for Possession of Less than 50 Grams of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Suarez was originally stopped for speeding on Old York Road. Officer Anthony Moreno made the arrest.

On Sunday April 14, 2019 at 7:50pm Theodore S. Distiler (Age 34) of New Hope, PA was arrested for Possession of Less than 50 Grams of Marijuana. The marijuana was found along with other mislaid property which had been turned into police. When Distiler came to police headquarters to reclaim his property he took responsibility for the marijuana. Officer Ryan Barry made the arrest.

On Thursday April 18, 2019 at 1:00am Jonathan C. Falk (Age 30) of Flemington, NJ was arrested for Possession of Less than 50 Grams of Marijuana. Police originally encountered Falk sleeping in his car behind ShopRite. The arrest was made by Sergeant Robert Landolina.

On Friday April 19, 2019 at 11:42 am William A. Wilson (Age 46) of Morristown, NJ was arrested for Possession of CDS. Police initially made encountered Wilson when they were called to Walmart for an intoxicated male walking around the store. Officer Michael Podlaski made the arrest.

On Saturday April 20, 2019 at 3:51 pm Brenda C. Knapp (Age 55) was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Police responded to a single car motor vehicle crash on Barton Hollow Road. Neither the driver, Knapp or her passenger were injured. After further investigation Knapp was arrested by Officer Adam Swiatek for DWI.
